Discussion Overview: Attempt to take the topic of how to build a topical collection a little further. Unfinished business.

1. Jeff in his blog from December 2008 tried to collect some facts about how MP members go about their topical or thematic collection. He got 16 replies, which is certainly not a bad result.

2. Stmpy 45 elaborated on the concept of Topical or Thematic Collecting. But that discussion sadly never took off

3. Bhanu asked Joe for advice about how to develop his collection and got some

4. Haris made it to The Mag with her collection of Birds. (cannot find the reference here at MP but I know I have seen it)

5. Erthur took an important step in the Birds group in opening a discussion on Organizing a Bird Stamp Collection and received some suggestions

My impression however is that many topical collectors remain exactly that. Few start like Bhanu to organize and write up his collection to make it presentable to friends. Here I see a task for our group. Could we produce a to do list that would be helpful to topical and thematical collectors?
