A group for all those interested in world wide stamp issues commemorating Chinese New Year. More than 65 countries have previously issued stamps on this subject and all continents are represented as well as many Island Nations from the Pacific and the Caribbean. Miniature sheets are well represented in this topic including many overstamped or specially issued for international Philatelic Events. The group will also be of interest to those specialising in any of the twelve animals represented in the Chinese Lunar Calendar; rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, ram (aka sheep, goat), monkey, rooster, dog, pig. The aim of the site is primarily FUN - I am no expert.

China seems a good place to start when looking at Lunar New Year stamps - even if it was not the first country to commemorate the event with a stamp!!
